it's st. patty's day.

yup. today is st. patrick's day. an excuse for everyone to think they're irish and get drunk. and it turns out i made a grave mistake earlier in the year. since i'm a good catholic (haha), i decided to give up alcohol for lent. i remember doing this last year too, but i don't remember not drinking on st. patrick's day. so now i'm screwed for today. i kind of remember doing irish car bombs, but i guess that might have been 2 years ago. how the hell did i not think of this, and what the hell did i do last year? idk.

so no i kind of want to do car bombs today but...idk. get shitfaced, and face eternal damnation, or miss out on all the fun, and bask in the lords heavenly light (or something like that)?

carbombs it is.

i'm gonna have to remmeber this next year when i decide what to give up for lent.

i also found some inconsistencies in a song the other day. eminem is slackin. in the song Forgot About Dre, off of Dr. Dre's 2001 album, eminem is rapping about burning down some ladies house, and he says:

and when the cops came through
me and dre stood next to a burned down house
with a can full of gas and a hanful of matches
and still weren't found out.

if they'd used the gas to burn down the house, why would it still be full when the cops arrived?
it should have been empty.

eminem, your slackin buddy.

yeah. it's like 8 years too late, but i heard it the other day, and that just popped in my head. lame i know.

I also love how FML (fuck my life) has become the new LOL. i'm seeing it everywhere now. it was hilarious when i first saw it in Superbad, but now not so much. i give it 2 more weeks before it starts pissing me off. haha.

I made my brackets today for march madness. i forgot how much fun that is. and then following the tournament just to see if you made the right picks. it's pretty much the only reason i like the spring time. and spring break of course. which is over for me. February through April is probably my least favorite time of the year. there's no football, baseball, the weather is shitty, there's really nothing exciting going on. it's the point in the year where your just sick of school, and want to get out for summer. i'd probably shoot myself if it weren't for march madness, and the NFL draft. the summer is fun because there's always something to do. fall is fun because of football, the excitement of a new school year, winter has all the holidays, and you just know it's going to be cold so you just brace for it. but spring blows. it's rainy, windy, cold, warm, rainy, cold, warm, windy etc... i love being from chicago because we get to experience every kind of weather, but when it's in the same day, it blows, because i'm not a big fan of constantly changing what i'm wearing. spring blows.

i've also recently started a twitter page. and i must say i'm pretty much addicted now. i initially just started it so i could follow mark hoppus, while they record the new blink record. i also didn't expect i'd get really that into it because i don't really know anybody on there. but after a while and the various conversations, with strangers, you get more followers, and you follow more people, and it builds and builds, and now i'm kind of addicted. who knew chatting with strangers could be so much fun. haha. i also read that it's growing at like 1,000 percent right now. i also love how the new facebook profile, is basically twitter on steroids. even facebook wants to be like twitter now. and somewhere myspace weeps. haha. twitter is cool because i always feel like updating my status on facebook like everytime i'm doing something new, but i don't because i don't want to be "that guy". haha.

i also read that two of ESPN's guys are predicting the Bears will choose heyward-bey in the the draft. i hope they do. that's who i would pick. Tackle is the most pressing need right now, but if you added heyward-bey to line up opposite devin hester and then just sent both of them streaking down the field, they would likely take 1 CB a piece with them, and 1 safety a piece with them. eliminating the opposition's secondary, and then just dump it off to matt forte on a screen or something, and BAM, easy 10 to 15 yards. or you could throw it to greg olsen because i doubt they will have a CB covering him, if they have the CB on hester or heyward-bey, and Olsen can outrun pretty much any linebacker in the NFL. that's another easy 10 to 15 yards. yup. that's what i would do. i hope Jerry Angelo reads my blog. haha.

alright. that is all for now.

no drinking today people. haha.

but if you do, do an irish carbomb, in memory of me.
